I have a blog, written a couple days after I got back to Pole but now my computer is in with the ITs for configuring and the blog stuff with it. It's dated anyway I guess.
It's been an interesting few days. Definately a faster adjustment period the second time around. The big news is that we're waiting for planes to arrive still. The folks before us, coming out of McMurdo had to wait there for good weather and working planes and so did the folks after us. So far I think it's been about five days of waiting for them. The other day, a couple planes boomeranged which is to say they left for Pole and then had to turn around due to weather after circling. Of the three planes that left McMurdo that day, two had to land at the Italian Station and one made it back after a very turbulent period of circling over Mactown. Needless to say I'm glad I made it here though I hear Nate and Curtis, two friends from NH are "stuck" in Christchurch. Jealous.
I'll write a more coherent blog later and hopefully be able to upload photos. Also, I'll gladly take suggestions about what to write about. Hoping to be more informative and maybe focus less on the partying this year. We'll see.
